The Boy Scouts of Nigeria (BSN) was founded in 1915 and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1961.
“The Scout program is aimed at encouraging youths to have a high degree of self-reliance, initiative, courage, helpfulness, integrity, sportsmanship, and resourcefulness. Scouts should be helpful; understand their society, heritage, and culture; have respect for the rights of others; and be positive leader-citizens”
