It’s of a market lady (c1940s) in Onitsha photographed taking snuff.
So, I just realised this pose/act of being captured sniffing snuff may actually have “been a thing”
A friend just sent me photos 2 and 3.
It’s of Victorian era ladies sniffing their snuff too.
