HRH Domkat Yah Bali has died.

HRH Bali was a retired four-star General of the Nigerian Army. He was Minister of Defence and member of the Supreme Military Council of 1984-1985, and the Armed Forces Ruling Council of 1985-1990. Bali joined the Nigerian Army in 1961 and is a graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

He had been the Ponzhi Tarok since December, 2010

Oba Adesoji Aderemi, Ooni of Ife (1930 – 1980) who also served as the governor of the Western Region, Nigeria between 1960 and 1962.

He had been living in an older, smaller home for the first 8 years into his rule and had previously refused to authorise the construction of a better home until the Native Administration had completed and paid for the clean, piped water supply provided to his people.
